Any applications we receive will always be treated in isolation. To obtain a Rishon Finance loan you need to be over 18 years old and be a UK resident. and also be deemed able to meet the repayments of loan.

Rishon Finance provide loans for a number of things such as Home Improvements, Holidays, Car Purchase or a Wedding, unexpected one off purchases or emergency funding.

How do I apply for a Rishon Finance loan?

If you wish to apply for a loan please fill out the online application form. Our loan calculator can be used to help you decide how much you want to borrow and for how long. The calculator will give you an indication as to what your monthly repayments could be.

Once you send through your application we will do a few light checks to provide you with an offer. If you wish to proceed we will conduct further checks and if all things remain same you will be provided the loan at the rate we offered.

Its important to note that the further checks we conduct could result in a different rate based on the information we analyse.

Conducting further checks will include a hard search which will show on your credit file.

Can I check which Rishon Finance loans I qualify for without impacting my credit rating?

Yes. When you apply initially, we offer you the best rate we can based on initial checks that don’t affect your credit file. This gives you more control regarding whether you wish to proceed.

Will you be making a credit search on me?

Yes. In order to conduct our due diligence and be a responsible lender we will request your credit report from one of the main credit reference agencies. This could be Transunion, Equifax or Experian. it is important that we have the right information to be able to ensure we can offer a loan that is affordable and that you can afford the repayments.

What does a Rishon Finance loan do to my credit score?

When we perform an initial credit check this will be a soft search and will not affect your credit score. Once we have issued you a loan offer and we complete our final checks this is when we would perform hard credit search which would appear on your credit file and could have an impact on your credit score.Taking out a loan with us can also increase your credit score if you keep up to date with loan repayments.

Can I apply for a loan if I have a CCJ or bad credit?

Having a CCJ or Bad Credit will not be something that can stop you from applying. We look at all applications on an individual basis to ensure we make sensible lending decision for both our customers and Rishon Finance.

You will need a valid email address and current mobile phone number. In addition you will need you bank details, employment & income information.

Do I need to set up a direct debit before the loan is released?

Borrowers must set up a direct debit as this is what is used to collect the loan repayments. The direct debit should be set up using the bank account where your monthly salary is deposited. We will send out a unique link for you to be able to set this up. We then do the rest.

Do you charge any fees for loans?

Simple answer is no. We only charge the interest stated at the outset. We don’t add any extra fees for entering the loan or exiting.

Once a loan has been approved and everything has been set up and we have confirmation that the direct debit has been set up we will release funds that same day. If it is before 3pm the funds should be in your account that same day. If it is after 3pm the funds will be with you the following working day.

During Application

I have completed my loan application, what happens next?

If you have applied and finished your part of the application, we will complete the final checks before the loan is paid out.

During our final checks, our underwriting team may request some documentation from you in order to verify your identity. These documents are known as Acceptable Forms of Identification.

You may be asked to provide some proofs of identity, home address, income and bank account. This protects you from criminals who might try to use your identity without you knowing.

If you are asked to provide these documentation, please make sure that:

  • The name and address detailed on your identification is the same as the name and address you provide us during your application
  • Your proof of address is dated within the last three months
  • Your proof of bank account shows name, sort code and account number

You will then be sent a link to set up a direct debit so that we can collect your loan repayments. This should be the same account as where you salary gets paid.

For personal loan applications approved before 3pm, we aim to payout the same day.

Why do you need traditional statements?

Being provided with traditional statements allows us to see evidence of your salary being paid in and to ensure we can see any key outgoings. This helps us with our lending decisions and ensures we can act in a responsible lender.

I have been asked to submit proof of identity – what is acceptable and what isn’t?

  • We accept selfies including your ID clearly visible with all the relevant detail
  • We accept scanned documents that show the original document in a clear and visible state.
  • We don’t accept screenshots or documents that have other screens.
Must my debit card and bank account be registered in my name and current home address?

Yes applicants must have a debit card and bank account registered in their own name.

We may at any time conduct checks against various industry databases to verify your details in order to comply with money laundering regulations to protect against identity theft and fraud.

Our address verification system electronically matches your card number to the address on file with your card company. If your address does not match the address on file with your card company, then your card cannot be validated.

As an additional layer of security, Rishon Finance also validates that your bank account is registered in your name and at your current home address. Therefore if you have recently moved it might be a good idea to contact your bank with your new address.
